Cookie policy
What cookies this site uses, what they do and how you decide about them.
What they are
A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device when you visit. It is used to remember something, such as your chosen language or a decision you have already made. The same approach applies here to equivalent technologies, such as the browser's local storage.
Nothing is set when you arrive
Until you press a button on the cookie notice, this site does not set or read any cookie that is not strictly necessary. Continuing to browse is not acceptance: only your express choice counts.
Cookies used
| Cookie | Type | Source | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
sh_consent_v1 | Necessary | First party (localStorage) | Stores your cookie choice so you are not asked on every visit. | 24 months |
_ga, _ga_<id> | Analytics | Third party · Google Analytics 4 | Counts visits and tells us which pages are read, with the IP anonymised. Only set if you accept. | Up to 24 months |
Necessary cookies do not require consent, because without them the site cannot work properly. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them.
Google Analytics
If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 is loaded, provided by Google Ireland Limited, with the IP address anonymised and advertising signals switched off. This data is not used for advertising or profiling.
Google's own information is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Changing your mind
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the ‘Cookies’ link that appears permanently in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and doing so deletes any analytics cookies already set.
You can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings. Note that blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the site behaving as they should.
Updates
This policy may be updated if the cookies used or the applicable rules change. The date of the last revision appears at the end.
